Manchester’s Apadmi, has made its first acquisition, with Netherlands-based The Mobile Company.

According to the digital company, it will create the largest team of independent mobile specialists across the Netherlands, UK and Europe, with a total of 250 engineers, designers and digital product experts.

The Mobile Company, which has clients including ABN-Amro and McCain, will become part of Apadmi Group. Its brand will remain in place, as will its existing management team.

“With our expertise in mobile and digital products as well as similarities in client base delivering work across travel, lifestyle, financial services, energy and healthcare, this is a fantastic step forward as we look to grow together,” stated Kees Van Mourik, CEO of The Mobile Company.

Already this year, Apadmi has opened offices in Edinburgh, Lisbon and Utrecht.

“We are thrilled to be joining forces with The Mobile Company.  From the first time we met, the fit between the two companies was what excited us,” explained Apadmi CEO Garry Partington.

“We both blend creativity with engineering excellence, to create amazing solutions, solving complex problems for our clients. It’s an exciting time at Apadmi and this is the first step of our move into other markets.”
