Altrincham creative agency launches craft beer to raise funds for Ukraine

Creative agency Sunny Thinking has launched a craft beer to raise funds for a charity appeal in support of Ukrainian refugees and displaced families.

The Altrincham agency will donate 50p for each can of the craft beer sold, called Sunny Thinking Charity Pilsner, to the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

The craft beer has been brewed and packed in Cheshire by Mobberley Brewery, with the labels for the cans produced by one of Sunny Thinking’s long-term clients, Label Apeel.

Jonathan Reed, Director at Sunny Thinking, said: “We enjoy a cheeky drink from time to time and have always thought of producing a Sunny Thinking beer. This year we’ve gone for it and in the process we thought it would be a great opportunity to raise money for a worthy cause.”

“What’s going on in the Ukraine is truly, truly horrific,” he continued. “We thought long and hard about whether a beer seemed like an appropriate thing to do but at the end of the day, we thought why not use it for the power of the good. Having a drink knowing the money you’ve spent will help in some way is just our bit of Sunny Thinking.”

He added: “We love collaborating with like-minded people and would like to say a big thank you to both Mobberley Brewhouse and Label Apeel for teaming up with us.”

The craft beer will be made available in a number of selected local retailers, bars and cafes such as Toast Coffee Shop and The Bottle Shop in Altrincham.
