Integrated marketing group Selbey Anderson is to expand out of the South East with the acquisition of IGNIFI, a Sunderland creative agency.

IGNIFI, which works in human and animal health, pharmaceuticals and biotech has a headcount of 25 and is expected to generate revenues of £2.5m this year.

The acquisition by London-based Selbey Anderson forms part of its strategic plans to extend its presence into the healthcare sector and expand into northern England.

Founded in 2018, Selbey Anderson has annualised revenues of £12.5m and employs 120 staff.

Dom Hawes, group chief executive at Selbey Anderson, said: “Finding the right fit, both for us and for an agency, is no easy feat, but we got on with IGNIFI famously from day one and the agency now brings its deep sector expertise to the group adding hugely to our capability.”

IGNIFI Directors Dave Watson (pictured right) and Rob Philips (pictured left) will remain with the business.

Watson, Managing Director, added: “Joining the Selbey Anderson Group at this stage of our development adds extra impetus and opportunities with a like-minded team who really value our independent thinking and client-first focus.”
