As our Digital Project Manager, you'll report directly to the Head of Operations, and oversee the day-to-day management and smooth running of digital accounts; ensuring our clients are receiving the highest individual attention and ensuring that we deliver, as a team, quality projects on time, on budget and on brief.

General role responsibilities

  • Keeping everyone up to date on a projects status – stakeholders, clients and the team.
  • Reviewing daily resource and workload schedules and booking freelancers when it gets a little crazy busy.
  • Deliver operational excellence; with the ability to anticipate potential issues and dependencies, highlight project risks, and manage to change business and technical requirements by effectively suggesting solutions or contingency plans at the appropriate stage of projects, you should continually look at ways we can improve operations.
  • Be authoritative and efficient; ability to direct and lead others confidently and have tough conversations with our team and our clients, where appropriate.
  • Instigating archiving and backing up, general file management protocols, keeping the job folders tidy and structured.

Being commercially-savvy

  • Responsible for all Synergist functions in relation to projects. This means; raising jobs, making sure the relevant job folder/structure is on the Server, raising quotes (where relevant), raising POs, scheduling resources, monitoring timesheets, monitoring progress on projects (resource/costs), sending completed projects for invoicing, closing completed jobs.
  • Strong numeracy skills; for estimating, scheduling, production and invoicing purposes.
  • Excellent understanding of commercial processes; delivering profitable projects every time.
  • Budget awareness; maintain an up-to-date understanding of spend on projects so to provide accurate feedback/reports to Directors on a monthly basis. This includes assessment and debrief management – celebrating the wins and booing the losses, but discussing solutions to improve for next time.
  • Expert at own time management and setting own and others work goals; capturing time on projects, ensuring the correct time is being inputted by the team.
  • Managing resource planning and raising issues (i.e. under/over resourcing, project slip, scope creep, etc).
  • Producing appropriate documentation in support of digital projects including project / resourcing plans, and regular project / client budget reports.
  • Inputting to and organising testing to guarantee quality of delivery to client.

Technically astute

  • Producing appropriate documentation in support of digital projects including project and resourcing plans, risk and issue logs, functional and technical specifications, and regular project / client and budget reports – limited experience due to types of projects
  • Be confident working alongside the technical team to specify and document new functional and technical solutions
  • Have an understanding of web projects and implementation methodologies
  • Be familiar with multiple technology platforms, i.e. mobile apps, web, email and streaming media
  • Inputting to and organising testing to guarantee quality of delivery to client
  • Forward thinking, with an ability to innovate and leverage technology as it evolves.

Being a strong team player

  • Have exceptional communication skills – both internally and client facing.
  • Motivate and encourage the digital team to deliver ‘right-first-time’ projects for our clients.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and are passionate in growing the agency.
  • Mentor junior members of the digital team.
