Thorne PR has been handed a three-year contract by Liverpool’s largest social housing association after a competitive pitch.

The Leeds agency, who has worked for 15,000-property Liverpool Mutual Homes since 2009, retained the account with the option of a two-year extension.

The brief includes promoting LMH’s services in the local, national and trade media, providing press office support and engagement work with tenants, stakeholders and industry bodies.

Thorne PR will report to LMH’s customer communications manager, Jean Clarke, who said: “We are pleased to be able to call on the expertise of Thorne PR for this important area of our business.”

Duncan Thorne, managing director at Thorne PR, added: “We are thrilled to have won such a significant account and are looking forward to building on the work we have carried out for LMH over the past four years.

“LMH is a very ambitious business and is making a huge difference to communities across Liverpool – something we are keen to play a part in by promoting its services.”

Thorne has also been appointed to work with the Liverpool Older People’s Awards recently.
