Thorne Public Relations in Leeds has been appointed to promote the inaugural Liverpool Older People’s Awards.
The agency will be working with the event’s ambassador, Ricky Tomlinson, with the actor also compering the ceremony.
“Liverpool has some of the most fascinating people who have achieved great things so it’s going to be great to hear their stories and reasons why they should win,” said Tomlinson.
“The city famously prides itself on communities and people that look out for each other and the awards are also aimed at recognising those who volunteer to help others.”
The Liverpool City Council event is being managed by Liverpool Mutual Homes. It will celebrate the achievements of the over 55s and the community groups that support them.
