Manchester flexible workspace provider Colony has revealed the first images of its upcoming King Street venue ahead of its launch in April, marking the company’s eighth location in the city.
The new space is the latest addition to Prolific North’s Spaces and Places series, which takes a closer look at the offices, studios and creative environments shaping the region’s media, tech and agency sectors.
Located in the heart of Manchester’s central business district, Colony say the new King Street site will introduce a new flagship workspace designed to support businesses of all sizes, alongside a range of creative production facilities and community-focused spaces.

The 44,000 sqft venue will feature a large coworking floor offering day passes, floating desks and dedicated desks, alongside a spacious social kitchen and breakout lounge designed to encourage connection and collaboration between members.
The floor will also include four meeting and conference rooms, with the largest designed to flex into an 80-person event space complete with stage, creating a new central hub for talks, workshops and community gatherings.
Across the upper floors, Colony King Street will offer a range of private offices designed for teams of four to more than 100 people, providing scalable workspace for growing companies in the city centre. Members will also benefit from a rooftop terrace and breakout area overlooking Manchester’s historic King Street.
The lower ground floor will introduce Colony Creator Studios, a new concept for the business that expands beyond traditional workspace. The studios will include a professional podcast studio, a photo and video production studio, and a versatile gallery and event space designed for exhibitions, content production and community programming.
To mark the launch, Colony will host a series of free coworking days and events, allowing businesses, freelancers and creatives to experience the new venue and facilities. Further details will be announced via Colony’s website and social media channels in the coming weeks.
Aaron Ezair, Director & Founder of Colony, said: “King Street represents far more than a new workspace for Colony – it signals the next evolution of how people create, collaborate and build businesses in Manchester. Our mission has always been to design environments that spark connection and empower the city’s creative and entrepreneurial communities to thrive.
“With this venue we wanted to push the concept even further. Alongside our coworking and office spaces, Colony Creator Studios introduces dedicated facilities for podcasting, photography, video production and events – giving members and the wider community access to tools that help ideas grow into real projects.
“Manchester is entering a new era of innovation and cultural influence, and King Street allows us to help shape that future. By deepening the sense of community in businesses at the heart of Colony and widening access to the tools of modern creation, we’re building a platform of representation and expression for the next generation of thinkers, doers and creators.”
Founded in 2017 by Aaron Ezair and Alex Campbell, Colony is an expanding network of flexible workspaces across Manchester. The company now operates seven venues across areas including Ancoats, New Islington, the Northern Quarter, Piccadilly and the Central Retail District.
King Street will become the company’s eighth workspace when it opens in April 2026.
