A new event for growth-stage businesses is heading to Manchester this November, bringing founders, investors and business leaders together, alongside a live pitch competition putting the region’s female founders in front of potential backers.
SCALE Manchester takes over Freight Island on 25 November for a day of panels, roundtables, networking and introductions designed to help ambitious businesses across the North West scale. Prolific North has joined the event as its official media partner.
You can register for SCALE Manchester using the code PRONORTH20 to get 20% off your ticket.
The programme will cover the challenges and opportunities that come with growing a business, including accessing capital, entering new markets and building teams. The day will feature fireside chats with entrepreneurs, founder-led panels, investor roundtables, speed networking and a live pitch event.
A major part of the programme will be the Women Who Scale Female Founders Pitch Competition, which is coming to Manchester following its first event in London earlier this year. Female and non-binary founders running businesses headquartered in the North West can apply, with shortlisted founders given the opportunity to pitch to investors and a live audience of entrepreneurs and business leaders.
The winner and runner-up will also be connected with potential backers through Angel Investment Network.
Confirmed speakers include Coffee Nation founder and former CEO Martyn Dawes, London Stock Exchange’s Bod Buckby, Hip Pop co-founder Emma Thackray, PR Agency One managing director James Crawford and Yvonne Sampson, director of enterprise at GM Business Growth Hub.
SCALE Manchester follows the platform’s London event and aims to bring the same focus on growth, investment and connections to ambitious businesses across the North West.
