Mobsta, the location targeting and data specialist, has announced the opening of a new Manchester office.

The new base will be led by Adam Meli, formerly digital account director and mobile lead at MEC Manchester.

Joining Meli will be Max Owen, who joins as sales account manager, and the pair will report into Maxwell Jasper Brown, Mobsta’s head of sales.

Mobsta has the exclusive rights to the Placecast mobile data management platform (DMP) that aggregates location data and user behaviour across different devices in the physical world and translates it into audience segments that can be targeted through mobile advertising campaigns via its Demand Side Platform (DSP).

Brown, who previously held senior roles at ITV and Bauer in Manchester as well as regional board positions across the MPA and Regional Radio Forum, said: “I am really thrilled to have Adam and Max joining the Mobsta team and opening our Manchester office in Spinningfield.

“They will be instrumental in our efforts to drive much stronger partnerships with our agencies and advertisers and bring with them a wealth of experience.”

Meli added: “I have loved working at MEC for the last seven years. It’s been a great place to work with fantastic people, but the opportunity at Mobsta was simply too good to turn down and I’m looking forward to the challenge ahead.”
