Timeline Television, the MediaCityUK and London-based post production facility, provided a complete broadcast service around BBC Music Day 2016.
The second BBC Music Day, which took place on June 3, featured over 350 events across the UK with the aim of uniting communities across generations.
Timeline was involved in the Unsung Hero project, which featured people from around the country who have dedicated their time to changing lives in the community through music.
The five winners, selected by a BBC panel, were featured on BBC Radio 2, online and on The One Show in a BBC Music Day special shown live from the Eden Project in Cornwall, where Timeline’s team provided live OB facilities (pictured above).
In house off and online editor Sion Roberts also edited a fast turnaround film with footage delivered via mediashuttle from multiple locations into Timeline’s MediaCityUK facility.
Its outside broadcast team also provided a seven-camera OB facility for The One Show, presented by Alex Jones and Patrick Kielty. Guests included Nile Rodgers and Duran Duran, and a performance from Laura Mvula.
Timeline also brought four remote feeds into the BBC One show, including Colin Murray at Belfast’s historic Stormont and Fran Healy in Glasgow’s legendary Barrowlands, where Travis performed alongside the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.
