Pull the udder one – McCann Manchester bags Cheshire dairy rebrand brief

Cheshire-based dairy brand, Delamere Dairy has appointed McCann in Manchester as a key partner in its future growth strategy.

Recognised in particular for its speciality goat’s milk products, flavoured milks and long-life sterilised cow’s milk, the business, now in its 40th year, has recruited McCann to lead on a rebrand strategy.

Delamere Dairy recruited McCann following a competitive pitch process. Emma Kirkham, head of marketing and PR at the FMCG brand said: “As we enter our next phase of acceleration, we need a high energy, highly strategic partner to tell Delamere Dairy’s unique story.

She continued: “We were impressed by the teams’ understanding of the market and their creative view on how we should show up. We have a strong brand heritage, loyal customers and some amazing products but we see huge headroom for growth. There was no doubt that McCann were the agency to help us achieve this.”

As part of the partnership, McCann will develop an ambitious brand strategy, as well as a new brand identity to reposition Delamere Dairy within the dairy market.

Christian Davies, managing partner at McCann in Manchester said: “We’re incredibly proud to be partnering with Delamere Dairy at such an exciting moment in its journey. The business is a regional success story, born in the north west and grown into a national and international recognised brand.”

Delamere Dairy is the latest FMCG brand to be added to McCann’s broad client list – the agency previously announced Vimto as a new client late last year.
