Is your Northern tech company a scale-up to watch? Here’s how to submit your nomination for 2026

For the second year running, Prolific North is shining a spotlight on the North’s next wave of scale-ups with the return of the popular Scale-Up Edition of Tech Companies to Watch.

Sponsored by Beyond Echo PR, the Scale-Up list highlights companies that are not just building big ideas, but turning them into real-world impact through growth, funding success, and market traction.

While the regular list and event celebrating early-stage tech companies will continue later this year, Prolific North is now inviting nominations and submissions for the next generation of scaling Northern tech stars to watch.

Sara Donnelly, founder and director of Beyond Echo PR, said: “Through our work with companies across the Northern tech ecosystem, we’re seeing more businesses reach the scale-up stage. Prolific North’s Tech Scale-Ups to Watch list has become a real benchmark for that progress, and being named on it is a defining moment for many of those businesses. That’s why we’re so proud to sponsor it again this year.”

To qualify as a scale-up to watch, tech companies must be headquartered in the North and be able to evidence that what they are building has real growth potential with at least 30% year-on-year revenue growth over the last three years, market traction, and growth in annual recurring revenue.

The final list will be compiled through extensive research by Prolific North’s editorial team, alongside input from trusted independent observers of the Northern tech sector and nominations from companies themselves.

If you believe your company — or one you represent — deserves a place on the list for 2026, submit your nomination here before 8 May. It is free to enter and the final Scale-Up list will be revealed at the end of May, culminating in a special roundtable event.
