Warp Films in Sheffield has added to its film division, with the appointment of producer, Amy O’Hara.
O’Hara joins from Film4, where she’s been Development and Production Executive since 2021. That saw her work across features and shorts from early development to production, including Love Lies Bleeding, We Live in Time and Sister Midnight.
Prior to that she was a Talent Executive for BFI Network and Film Hub North, collaborating with emerging writers, director and producers across the region.
“Warp Films are a huge part of the reason I wanted to work in the film industry,” she explained.
“Having collaborated with them closely during my time at Film4, I have continually admired their integrity, tenacity and consistent ability to work with talent who want to challenge and excite. I can’t wait to build on and elevate their exceptional legacy in the feature film space from the amazing city I call home”
At Warp, her role will be to “reinvigorate and reinforce” the Sheffield firm’s feature film production – alongside its acclaimed television output, including Adolescence and Reunion.
She’ll also work alongside founder and CEO Mark Herbert and Chief Creative Officer, Emily Feller to develop a “select portfolio” of filmmaker-led TV series. Warp has a history of producing shows with the likes of Shane Meadows, Phil Barantini, Sean Durkin and Johan Renck.

Founded in 2002, Warp Films has been behind productions, including This Is England, Submarine, Four Lions, ‘71 and Dead Man’s Shoes.
