WATCH: Space Digital delivers harrowing Network Rail films that are leaving viewers breathless

Manchester’s Space Digital has unveiled two unflinching new films for Network Rail confronting the devastating consequences of trespassing on the railway.

Impact and Distraction follow the earlier 2025 films Stay Off the Tracks: Sight and Sound – the latter already topping 2.2m YouTube views. Together, the four productions form a brutally honest series designed to shock young people into recognising the deadly risks of stepping onto the tracks.

Impact pulls no punches. Combining raw performances with first-hand testimony from British Transport Police, it lays bare the human cost of trespassing in stark detail. Distraction goes further still, using stunt work to show the sheer, unstoppable force of a train collision. An NHS Emergency Medicine consultant delivers chilling commentary, spelling out the catastrophic injuries such an impact would cause.

The films were shot at The Big Shed studio and Stockport’s Garrick Theatre, with Space overseeing every aspect of production and post-production to ensure maximum impact. They are now running across TV, cinema, and social platforms.

“This project has been an incredible opportunity to combine high production values with a message that can truly save lives,” said Matthew Nelson, Lead Producer at Space Digital. “It’s been rewarding to continue the Stay off The Tracks series and help Network Rail deliver such a direct and emotional warning to its audiences.”

The Stay off The Tracks campaign is part of Network Rail’s wider mission to confront dangerous behaviour on the railway and prevent more lives being destroyed.

The flms are part of Network Rail’s You vs Train campaign, created with Storycatchers. Space is an award-winning film and visual effects company based in Manchester. Specialising in production, visual effects, 2D and 3D animation, motion graphics, editing, grading, and more, all services are executed in-house
