We are pleased to announce the launch of our latest publishing initiative, the Prolific North Top 50 Digital Agencies 2014. This compilation, due for publication at the end of January 2014, will detail for the first time the North’s leading digital agencies spanning SEO, web, content , mobile and e-commerce.
The Top 50 Digital Agencies initiative follows on from the publication of our two ground-breaking rankings published this year: the Prolific North Top 50 PR Agencies in June and the Prolific North Top 50 Integrated Agencies in November.
In just a few months (for the PR feature) and weeks (for the Integrated feature), the two compilations have already established themselves as the most credible and comprehensive listings of Northern PR and Integrated agencies published in recent years.
We are delighted that the leading SEO agency, Click Consult, is sponsoring the compilation and initiative.
Jo Iaconianni at Mustard will be in touch shortly with agencies which we already have information on before we start whittling the list down to 50. If any digital agencies wish to double check that we have their information and contact details included at the outset, please email Jo at email@example.com.
In addition to Click Consult’s sponsorship, the digital ranking will once again be supported by Barclays Bank and Google which supported our Integrated agencies compilation.
So who will be the Top Digital Agencies in the North?
We’ve already identified more than 130 digital agencies across the North, a figure which excludes any agencies which appeared in either of our two previous rankings as they will not be included in the digital compilation.
In a similar vein, although national rankings of the digital sector typically include a wide variety of companies and organisations; from pure digital agencies to divisions of British Aerospace and Deloittes and broad comms companies such as M&C Saatchi, the Prolific North ranking will solely address digital agencies whose focus is entirely or overwhelmingly delivering digital services.
The Top 50 PR table was largely dominated by agencies from Manchester while the Integrated ranking saw agencies from Leeds occupy half of the top 10 positions and, judging by the initial cut of research we’ve undertaken, the digital ranking will also reflect strength in depth in the sector across the M62 and into the North East.
As with our previous rankings, the list will be predicated largely by financials – balance sheet value and/or shareholders funds, turnover, headcount and growth (submitted from the agencies themselves as well as sourced online) and illustrated with additional information such as ownership and a selection of clients.
