Mobile software developer Apadmi was among the prizewinners at this year’s Made in the North West Awards.
The Manchester-based company collected the Technology Award for their innovative work on mobile app development, with judges commenting that the company’s growth was “impossible to ignore” and was “good news for the North West”. Liverpool-based mobile app developer Apposing was runner-up.

Founded in 2009 by its four directors, the company built the BBC’s iPlayer Radio app and has also created mobile products for BT, BlackBerry, Visit Britain and The X Factor.
The Made in the North West ceremony was hosted at Ribby Hall in Preston.
