Dead Pixel Films and Batchelors say Cook With… Noodles

Dead Pixel Films has produced a collection of social films for Premier Foods, supporting the launch of the new Batchelors Cook With… Noodles.

The video production company used its newly-launched South Manchester studio, spending two days capturing content for two, 12-second Youtube pre-roll ads.

“We’ve done over 20 shoots with Premier Foods now and so we’re well versed in what works for the various brands across the portfolio. In most cases, they lead with product but, this time around, we were really pleased that the more lifestyle driven concept was received well in the pitch and led to us creating two ads instead of the original brief for just one,” explained Cal Thomson, director of photography at Dead Pixel.

The shoot marks one of the first occasions that Dead Pixel’s interchangeable set kitchens have been put to the test on a production requiring multiple looks on the same project. The sets are a bespoke design by the production agency’s creatives that combine sustainably built frames and repurposed doors with heavy-duty velcro for a fully customisable look.

Rhian Buckley, senior brand manager at Premier Foods, described the studio as a “fantastic solution” that “enabled us to easily create different look & feels for the edits, something that would usually require different locations and a much higher budget.”

Kieran Edwards, creative director at Dead Pixel, added: “Having everything under one roof is becoming a pretty exciting proposition for many of our clients. The fact that we can get so much variety and production value in a short space of time, coupled with the ability of our editors in the next room to be able to acquire footage and begin the edit same day, is translating to high quality ads that are crafted in good time.”
