Weber Shandwick North in Manchester has been appointed to work with Rhug Estate, an organic farm owned by Lord Newborough.

The agency will be repositioning the brand and also running a PR campaign as it looks to expand its reach.

“Our organic farm supplies a number of Michelin-starred restaurants in the UK and Asia and we are continuing to develop and diversify our property portfolio,” said Lord Newborough.

“Weber Shandwick’s local and international presence and deep understanding of the quality and heritage of the Rhug Estate brand ensured their team was our preferred partner to help take our business forward.”

WSN will be responsible for a fully integrated campaign aimed at both consumer and trade audiences.

“The year has seen a surge of consumers seeking authentic and transparent brands in the food and drink sector. This is where the Rhug Estate excels,” added Weber Shandwick North’s managing director, Jo Leah.

“We will deliver a long-term communications strategy to tell this fascinating quality and provenance story.”
