Lion Eyes and advertising producer Tony Smith have joined forces in a strategic alliance to expand the Manchester company’s advertising and brand video production division.

Smith has clocked up 25 years in the industry and over 1,000 broadcast adverts for brands such as Bupa, The Co-operative, Next and Holland & Barrett, winning several  Mobius and Roses awards. He joins from PSA Films in Altrincham.

Lion Eyes co-founder Martin Riley added: “We’re delighted to have Tony on board, as his skill set will not only serve to enhance and grow the great advertising and branded content work that Lion Eyes already produces, but it will also allow us to deliver cost-effective solutions for agency and in-house creative teams looking to do great work, without having to compromise on quality.

“We cover the entire spectrum of production needs, whether that be providing consultation on the feasibility of concepts right through to delivering a finished production for TV, cinema or digital transmission.

“Tony’s experience along with our in-house state-of-the-art post production facilities and large roster of technical, creative and production expertise, can only serve to bolster this.”

Established in 2006, Lion Eyes’ marketing, brand and corporate credits include broadcast ads and video content for Doritos, Asda and the BBC.

It was the main production company behind this year’s Red Nose Day, directing Peter Kay on his ‘Sit Down for Comic Relief’ challenge.
