Code Computerlove has named Hannah Pickford as its new People and Culture Lead.
Pickford joins the Manchester agency from Social Chain, where she was Happiness Manager for 18 months.
Her arrival comes as Code moves into WPP’s new Manchester campus at Enterprise City. This will house 550 staff from all the group’s agencies – including EssenceMediacom and Wavemaker.
“I’ve always admired Code, even when I was working as a recruiter several years ago! The high retention rate and culture shone through everything they did, so when there was an opportunity to join the team, it was not to be missed,” she said.
“It’s been fantastic to get stuck in at the new Campus and look at our people experience across the different stages and delve into how we can promote Code’s unique culture. I really want people to walk in and love their job, carrying that feeling of excitement through their time with us.”
Her role will be to oversee the agency’s “overall employee experience,” such as recruitment, benefits, events and supporting learning and development.
“Our culture has always been a priority for us, and we strive to create a supportive, inclusive, and fun work environment so we can attract and retain the very best talent. We have big ambitions for Code over the next few years and believe that happy, engaged Computerlovers ultimately leads to delivering brilliant things for both us and our client partners,” added Gemma Handley, Managing Director.
“We’ve recently moved into our new home at WPP Campus which is an amazing social space, and we look forward to spending more time together as a team, with Hannah at the helm of our events!”
