imgres-1The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) is holding a series of events across the North to share the findings of its in-depth research into the SME sector.

As part of a week of activities which kicks in London, CIM will host three events in different locations across the north intended to provoke ‘provide brilliant marketing ideas.’

Joe Chetcutti FCIM, who will be presenting at the Yorkshire event, said that sometimes it was ‘just a case of encouraging SMEs to help themselves.’

“Many of the SMEs I work with find it useful to have someone look at their business through fresh eyes and help them take a step back to work on their business rather than in it. For example, simply improving the quality of communications to clients and prospective customers can create a sustained competitive advantage that can’t be copied by competitors.”

The events, titled ‘Think big, act small’ are open to CIM members and non-members free of charge.

  • The North of England events are as follows:
North West: Tuesday 19 May am as part of Greater Manchester Business Fair
  • North East: Tuesday 19 May pm at hosted by Newcastle University Business School
  • Yorkshire: Wednesday 20 May am at Kirkdale Industrial Training Services

More information and booking is available at the CIM website.
