David Johnson has joined SIS as its new head of digital rights.
The sports data and content provider, has made the appointment as it seeks to secure key partnerships in sport and to develop new products online.
“I’m delighted that David has joined us. He has a proven track record in the sports content industry and working with sports rights holders particularly. He will drive the development of our official data and pictures portfolio,” said Paul Baker, director of strategic development, SIS.
SIS has a base in the Blue Tower at MediaCityUK and Johnson will be responsible for developing commercial relationships with sports federations and rights agencies.

SIS has a great history of innovation, a high level of expertise in producing high quality data and live pictures, and a reputation for integrity. I’m looking forward to building on those qualities and helping drive the push into the digital world,” added Johnson.
He spent 11 years at Perform Group and was responsible for working with the Premier League, CONCACAF and FIBA amongst others. He also worked with broadcast rights holders such as Fox Soccer in the United States.
