The Partners Group has been handed a PR brief by South Yorkshire-based Supplies For Candles, a £5m-turnover firm that is now the largest online candle supplies company in Europe.
Supplies For Candles, set up four years ago by 28-year-old Nicky Story from his dad’s garage, employs over 30 people and operates from a 81,000 sq ft premises in Mexborough.
It has seen a surge in sales over recent weeks as people turn to the internet to find new hobbies and ways of keeping themselves occupied while in isolation.
Partners Group director Karen Tinkler said: “Nicky has achieved so much in the last four years, and has big ambitions for taking the business forward. At the same time, he is very community minded, and CSR plays a big part in his business.
“One of our first jobs is to help publicise an initiative supporting people who have been financially affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.”
The business is giving away £100,000 worth of candle-making kits to help people in isolation learn the basics of candle making.
