North West agency offers campaign ideas for £85

A new North West agency is offering an ecommerce approach to marketing consultancy.

MediaCityUK-based WXY says that brands can “buy ideas” for £85 through its ecommerce market place.

“The term ‘agency fees’ has become a murky word and when we formed WXY we had the mentality to make ‘buying’ our services transparent and pain-free,” explained Marc Young, Director and Co-Founder of WXY.

“We could’ve whacked up a price list on our website, but in an age when we can have food delivered directly to our door or order a taxi in mere moments, we wanted to bring that experience to marketing, PR and social media services.”

Along with co-founder, Gemma Wieczorek, Young explained the process as being similar to going on Amazon or ordering an Uber.

They said they would develop creative ideas for under £100, allowing brands to “execute a plan themselves or hire WXY to get the job done.”

“We always wanted to be upfront with our pricing and didn’t want to pull the wool over client’s eyes with any hidden costs or hidden markups. We concluded that allowing brands to shop our services online is not only effective but fair too,” added Wieczorek.

“People put a lot of stock in the initial creative, but logistics and being capable of delivering on that idea is fundamental.”

The company will focus on social media, but also offer content marketing, experiential and promotion activity.

Young and Wieczorek met at Smith & Smith and have previously worked at RMS, Active Profile, Stripe Communications, Frank and Dinosaur.
