New kids’ sensory board book from Green Bean Studios’ chief

Children’s author and founder of Green Bean Studios, Anita Frost, has announced the launch of a new sensory board book, Green Bean’s Garden.

Backed by Innovate UK via the ECO award, the colourful adventure book is the latest addition to Green Bean Studios’ collection of children’s books, featuring leading character, Green Bean and lovable friends as they go on fun outdoor adventures in the fictional lands of Adventure Dales.

Green Bean’s Garden is an engaging, sensory, lift-the-flap board book which helps young children to spark a love of reading whilst learning about the environment.

Frost said: “Green Bean’s Garden is a wonderful sensory experience for young readers, providing the opportunity to share precious reading moments with their parents or caregivers, or simply to enjoy reading independently.

“Helping more children to read for pleasure is one of our core missions at Green Bean Studios. Our new book has been specially developed drawing on 20 years of child development experience, with interactive lift-the-flaps to engage with young children and give them a sensory experience to nurture a love of reading from a young age.”

Designed to encourage curiosity and exploration, Green Bean’s Garden features brightly coloured images and a fun story that helps children develop key skills whilst enjoying wholesome entertainment with familiar characters.

Green Bean’s Garden is currently on sale exclusively in-store at the Manchester Museum, ahead of the Museum’s Wild exhibition launch on the June 5, where Green Bean will be the leading character mascot of the exhibition.

Copies of Green Bean’s Garden can also be pre-ordered online; priced at £14.99, and the book comes with a free Green Bean & Friends magazine, which includes stickers, crafts and more.

“We love creating Precious Moments for parents and caregivers to share with children, and this new book is ideal for spending quality time with young children, away from the noise and distractions of screens,” Frost added.

To celebrate the launch of Green Bean’s Garden, Frost will be running a book signing event on May 11 between 11am – 1pm at the Manchester Museum.

Green Bean Studios’ three core pillars are Earth, Community, and Kids, and the new board book for children brings in all of these elements by getting children interested in the natural world, connecting parents and children through precious moments, and teaching children key communication skills to prepare them for school.

With over 20 years’ child development experience, all Green Bean Studios’ books, toys, and games have been created based on the Early Years Foundation Stage statutory framework.
