My Parcel Delivery has appointed industry veteran Andy Hill as commercial director.
Hill was formerly commercial director in the team that developed and launched CollectPlus, the first “pick-up drop-off” network in the UK.
He’s also held senior commercial roles with FedEx and Yodel developing delivery services for retailers including John Lewis, Tesco, eBay and Amazon. Latterly he worked with delivery management technology business, MetaPack.
He joins the Salford-based parcel delivery comparison site as it bulks up following a series of investments worth £1.5m from North West firms. In May it appointed a new marketing team and announced record results earlier this month.
Hill will be responsible for managing carrier relationships, driving new service initiatives and increasing business volumes.
He said: “I’m looking forward to finding fresh ways of giving My Parcel Delivery’s customers the best possible experience and exploring new market opportunities for the company at a time of rapid growth.”
David Grimes, My Parcel Delivery’s managing director, said: “Andy’s experience, knowledge and industry connections are enormously important as we move into our next phase of development. To have attracted such a well-respected and accomplished industry professional is testament to the reputation our company is building in the parcel delivery and logistics sector.”
