Movobi has launched a new advertising app, which has been customised for television programme-makers.
The Cheshire-based developer is behind Garble, which it says has been created to address the shift from traditional advertising and maximise second screen use.
“Garble will allow programme makers to develop multiple revenue streams and gain audience data & insight to a unique level. All of which will provide leverage for brand and retail partnerships – unlike any other app out there,” explained the firm.
The app can be customised for each show and gathers data and insight from user activity. This data can be identified not just by the programme, but also the each scene or character.
It says that as well as product placement, it can also highlight products, which are “not purposefully placed.”
Movobi was originally set up to provide a similar offering for movies, so that viewers could find out about locations, products and clothing used in the film.
