Influencer marketing technology platform Influencer.com has revealed its plans to open a new Manchester office, create ‘dozens’ of new jobs and a new key hire.

The company, which counts Mars, Mcdonald’s and Ocado among its clients, said it plans to expand its UK operations with an office in Spinningfields, Manchester city centre, once the work from home restrictions are lifted.

As one of the first hires for its new Manchester base, the company has appointed Olivia Thomasson as a Client Partner. Prior to joining Influencer, she previously held roles at Social Chain and Head of Partnerships at Mob Kitchen. In her new role, she will be tasked with responding to large client briefs, seeking new business opportunities and leading on pitches to prospects and clients.

To establish the new base and presence in Manchester, the organisation said it is actively hiring and plans to create dozens of new jobs this year across its Delivery and Paid Media teams.

The company, co-founded in 2015 by entrepreneur Ben Jeffries and YouTuber Caspar Lee, has also announced plans to run local mentoring and apprenticeship opportunities.

John-Paul James, Vice-President of Business Development, said: “This office opening was strategic not only because it has a wealth of local talent that can be developed, but also because Manchester has a thriving tech scene and is home to enviable brands with global footprints.’’

He added that the new office will provide the company with “exciting growth opportunities, and we are equally thrilled to bring on someone with Olivia’s skills and expertise”.
