Champions Awards – The Event

The Champions Awards ceremony will return on 8 May 2025 at the The Point, Emirates Old Trafford - Lancashire Cricket Club

This flagship event has become a staple of the industry calendar over the past 13 years for hundreds of professionals across creative, digital, tech, media and marketing. It’s the perfect opportunity to network and celebrate the North’s achievements amongst peers, friends and colleagues in the digital industry.

Start the evening with a complimentary drinks reception, followed by a three-course dinner, awards presentation and entertainment.

Main: Pan-fried Lancashire chicken breast, spiced fondant potato, savoy cabbage & celeriac, rainbow carrots, fenugreek & caraway seeds, vadouvan velouté

A familiar face and voice to millions, Andy Crane has been broadcasting on radio and television for more than 40 years!

He currently hosts “The Late Show” on Greatest Hits Radio playing the biggest songs of the 70’s 80’s and 90’s.

It all began in 1983 at Piccadilly Radio in Manchester after which he was poached by Capital Radio and made the move south. 

1986 saw Andy join Children’s BBC and begin the television role in The Broom Cupboard that would quickly make him a household name.

From 2004 Andy spent six years as the senior news anchor at Channel m News in Manchester – winning the Royal Television Society award for Best Regional Presenter.  He has also presented weekend bulletins for Granada Reports.

A father to three and Grandpa to two – he now splits his time between Manchester and the Lake District.
