Manchester indie, Carm Productions, has secured exclusive access to the newly elected Speaker of the House of Commons.
The company, led by former Granada executive, Rob McLoughlin, will have a crew embedded with Sir Lindsay Hoyle over the next few months.
“This is an astonishing moment for Britain,” explained McLoughlin, who remains ITV’s longest-serving presenter of political programmes.
“Our cameras are capturing the post Bercow, pre-Brexit changes as The Speaker now faces a huge government majority and demands to hold them more to account.”
Mr Speaker (working title) has already started making the headlines after Hoyle revealed in an an interview that he had been diagnosed with diabetes, just days before the election. This has appeared this morning in the national print media, as well as ITV, Sky and the BBC.
Carm is currently in talks with broadcasters in UK and abroad.
