Manchester cloud-based firm Rekoop snapped up by US giant


A Didsbury-based IT company been bought by a global legal software business Intapp.

Rekoop, a provider of entry software to the professional services sector has has been bought for an undisclosed sum, which is linked to turnover.

And as part of the deal, Rekoop co-founder and CEO Phil Wedgwood will head Intapp’s Time Practice Group.

The Silicon valley company intends to retain the Didsbury office and aims to increase staff numbers.

Intapp said that it would continue to support Rekoop’s cloud-based software and customers alongside its ongoing R&D investment in Intapp Time, a time recording software platform with more than 150,000 users across 325 firms.

Wedgwood said: “I’m proud of the success we’ve achieved over the past six years in building a market-leading, cloud-based timekeeping solution, and our traction, particularly among mid-tier law firms.
“As we looked toward the future, we wanted to find a partner that shared our vision.
