Sheffield-based internet marketing agency Ignition Search has been handed a £40,000 funding boost from UK Steel Enterprise.

The move will allow the firm to ‘significantly increase its revenue’, according to managing director Dan Kavanagh (pictured right). Ignition Search will also appoint a dedicated marketing and sales department and roll out a series of seminars with regional Chambers of Commerce in Sheffield, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leeds. It is owned by Tata Steel.

Kavanagh said: “The investment has really helped us to drive the business forward. Our pipeline has increased exponentially.”

Over the past 18 months Ignition Search has more than doubled its work force and the company aims to have a team of 20 by 2016.
