The organisers of future technology conference, TMRW, have revealed the full line-up of speakers.

Joining Professor Brian Cox, and hacker and entrepreneur, Samy Kamkar are Professor Will Alsop; tech entrepreneur Polly Barnfield OBE; and Martin Bryant, the editor in chief of The Next Web.

The conference at Manchester Central will examine how the digital and physical are coming together to change the world.

It will be hosted by television presenter, Tim Lovejoy, who’s created a series of shorts for Channel 4, called In the Future.

“Manchester has always had an atmosphere, and I’ve watched it change over time. There has always been the music, which began for my generation with Factory Records. The music is still here, but now there is a resurgence of Manchester’s historic excellence in science and technology. There are start-ups all over the city, and the universities are making huge investments in next generation technologies. And next year the European City of Science is here,” explained Professor Brian Cox.

“TMRW is a great opportunity to bring together people from all over the world and get them talking and thinking about science and the future. How do we help each other to innovate, to transform our city and our economy.

“In my talk I’ll describe the universe as seen from Manchester, and the role that science and innovation in Manchester has played in our ability to see it at all.”

Key themes include security, the Internet of Things, personalised commerce, hyper productivity, physical computing, additive manufacturing, robots and predictive analytics, augmented humans and personal privacy in a digital age.

It takes place on May 20th and a full programme and ticket details can be found on the conference website.
