Sheffield games company, Team Cooper, has rebranded to Peek & Poke.

The studio explained that the move reflected changing times and they enlisted fellow Sheffield agency, Born+Raised to carry out the work.

“Peek & Poke channel their blend of technical expertise and bold creative to make games that unite businesses and people. The new brand brings all this to the fore in a playful, engaging and memorable identity that’s chock-full of character,” explained Marianne MacKenzie, Account Director at Born + Raised.

MacKenzie added that their brief was to deliver a new brand identity and website, focussing on the “emotional connections that games offer”, whilst keeping the playful nature of the original Team Cooper brand.

Team Cooper started out in 2006, at the time making Flash banners and websites. When Flash fell out of fashion in 2014, the company faced difficult times and cut its staff from 8 to 2.

It relaunched as an HTML5 and white label gaming firm and recently released its PikNik games platform.

“I’m so pleased that we have reached this point in the business, last year saw us reach a strategic milestone with the launch of Piknik, our off-the-shelf branded games service and we’re starting 2019 as we mean to go on, by launching the new brand,” said founder and director, Tim Cooper.

“It’s the perfect next step in the development of the company, we’re excited to move forward and keep delivering engaging game campaigns for our clients.”
