Lenny launches story sharing platform for Yorkshire Building Society

Brighouse-based Lenny has launched a new social learning platform for Yorkshire Building Society to enable its employees to share stories and learn from one another.

Ignite is described as a “completely bespoke social learning platform” for colleagues to share experiences.  It includes videos directed by Panda Film Production as well as a series of articles to “spark conversation”.

Lenny designed, built and launched the platform before creating an internal marketing campaign to promote the site. Groups from the Peterborough, Bradford, Leeds and Cheltenham were invited to a demonstration, with the creative team on hand to answer questions, manage sign-ups and encourage staff to spread the word by giving away selfie sticks to upload content to the intranet.

Interactive video cards were also produced and sent to the Senior Leadership team for further interaction with the platform.

Carly Bradshaw, Learning Solutions Consultant at YBSG, said: “It’s been so exciting working with the Lenny Agency and Panda Productions, being able to realise my vision for a social learning platform for the Group.

“We have been very pleased with the initial uptake and positive feedback we have received. We want to continue to improve the platform, listening to our users and continually updating the site to ensure its future.”

With ongoing development planned, Lenny will continue to work closely with the bank to maintain the platform and its functionality during its early days.

Craig Leonard, partner at the Lenny Agency, added: “The Ignite project has been a huge success; we hope everyone at YBSG can reap the benefits.

“After a soft launch of the platform to a few hundred employees, the response rate was so positive that the site welcomed over 2,000 users in its first quarter. We’re really proud to be part of such a positive project that aims to have a real impact on people.”
