Boomdash reinvents Evil Dead for VR devices

Boomdash Digital has partnered with Ghosthouse Entertainment and Screen Northern Ireland to develop Evil Dead for mobile VR devices.

It’s the same team that brought Evil Dead: Endless Nightmare to iOS and Android.

Manchester indie publisher, Boomdash, says the release will include 360 degree sound and vision, so that players can roam freely around the Evil Dead world.

“After the successful partnerships that was established for Evil Dead: Endless Nightmare, it only felt natural to bring everyone back together to collaborate on this next project,” explained Viktorya Hollings, production director at Boomdash.

“We’re excited to be working with all parties and bringing Evil Dead to the mobile VR audience. It develops further our capabilities of working with brand owners to mobilise their properties to existing and now VR audiences.”

Slated for release in June, it will be the second publishing project they’ve licensed from Ghosthouse Entertainment.

The game will be made in Belftast.
