Attercopia founder appoints liquidators for new digital agency

Liquidators have been brought in to Aranea Digital Marketing, the agency set up by former Attercopia director Steve Harvey-Franklin.

According to documents seen by Prolific North, Leonard Curtis has been brought in to handle the liquidation.

The statement of affairs says that Aranea Digital Marketing Ltd, trading as Attercopia, has £71,697 outstanding to HMRC for PAYE and National Insurance, and £65,098 for VAT.

It’s the latest in a series of troubles for the Attercopia brand. In 2017, the original Attercopia went into liquidation, owing £2m to creditors. It followed a series of acquisitions, including Label PR, Growth UK, Scenicus Digital Marketing and Digital Marketing Today.

Leonard Curtis also handled the liquidation of Attercopia Yorkshire Ltd, Attercopia Scotland and Attercopia Digital Marketing.

According to Companies House, Harvey-Franklin is listed as a director of Digital Marketing Today, in Holmfirth, which in October last year changed its name to Maratopia Digital Marketing.

Prolific North has contacted Leonard Curtis for a comment and is awaiting a response.
