Charity ticketing platform Tickets for Good hits 100,000 registered online users

Tickets for Good offers free event tickets to frontline workers

Social enterprise Tickets for Good has hit one of its major project milestones with over 100,000 active users now registered on the site in little over a year.

The Tickets for Good Foundation, based in Sheffield, gives free event tickets to charities and social groups via the Ticket Bank’s NHS ticketing platform.

Set up just over a year ago, the NHS platform has thousands of people receiving free event tickets via charity partners across the UK allowing NHS staff, frontline workers, social care workers and volunteers to access event tickets for free. The platform has so far helped the NHS save over £2million in the face value of tickets.

Sheffield based technology consultants, The Curve, were appointed in 2020 to help scale its digital capacity in preparation for the return of venue-based events and an anticipated rapid increase in demand.

The Curve delivered the features and functionality of the Tickets for Good platform to help to bring philanthropy to the forefront of its ticketing experience, ensuring users could also engage with charitable giving as well as great free events.

The Curve’s CTO and co-founder, James Ridgway, said: “It’s great to see the hard work of so many individuals from both The Curve’s and Tickets for Good’s teams paying off and providing a great benefit for our NHS and healthcare workers. I have no doubt we’ll continue to see the platform grow and gain even more users in the near future.”

Tickets for Good also recently won the Impact Award at The Ticketing Business Awards.

Steve Rimmer, founder and CEO of Tickets for Good, added: “[The Curve] has been an integral part of our platform since day one and provide a fantastic service for us. The recent award from TheTicketingBusiness is testament to the quality of our project and The Curve have been a key part of making that happen.”

Tickets for Good Foundation is a registered non-profit social enterprise limited by guarantee, and a member of Social Enterprise UK (SEUK). Its aims are to improve access to events and cultural activities with a focus on improving mental health through live experiences, especially for the people most in need across society.
