CGA Strategy has set up a new division to track and evaluate how the live concert and touring industry use technology.
CGA:Live will build on the research and consultancy background of CGA Strategy and the live music knowledge of Total Production International magazine – published by sister company, Mondiale.
Based in Stockport, CGA:Live will build an online Production Hub along with a “definitive” technical guide called the Production Handbook as well as The Channel Feed, which will track usage of audio, video and lighting technologies.
“It is energising to move into a new, yet associated arena armed with CGA’s research rigour and value added approach, built up over the last 20 years. We feel that our expertise is perfectly suited to measure this exciting and dynamic market place,” said Jon Collins, chief executive, CGA Strategy.
The division will be led by Joel Perry, who was previously international commercial manager at Total Production International.
“These are exciting times as we develop and introduce a suite of products and services, each designed to meet a clear need in the sector. I am particularly excited about The Channel Feed which will draw upon its strength of resource and positioning to provide the live production industry with its first, fully independent, usage tracker and production audit,” he stated.
