Carat Manchester has refused to comment on reports that it has won the £12m Thomas Cook media buying and planning business.
The agency, owned by Aegis Media already handles the travel company’s digital account, worth around £15m.
The account had previously been handled by Havas, which retained the contract following a competitive pitch against Carat and Brilliant Media in 2010. Thomas Cook’s online business remained with the then MediaVest Manchester (now Carat, since its acquisition in 2011 by Aegis).
Late last month, Trinity Media handed Carat Manchester its £5m media planning and buying business, to centralise all its accounts within Aegis.
