BBC Sport’s interactive editor Stuart Rowson is off to BBC Breakfast where he’ll be deputy editor for six months.

Announcing the change, the Salford based editor joked on Twitter that he’d been sent a detailed guide of do’s and don’ts.

The father of three has been responsible for all content across its several digital platforms: web, mobile, app, red button including digitext, IPTV and social media since May 2011 and was among the first team to move to MediaCityUK.

He led and planned BBC Sport’s interactive Olympic coverage which brought in a record-breaking audience of 10m global users per day. Prior to joining BBC Sport, Rowson was the editor of BBC Look North in Hull, having previously worked as the sports editor at the Hull Daily Mail and the Grimsby Town reporter for the Grimsby

In this video, he talks to Leeds Trinity University students about his work.
