A Yorkshire digital marketing agency has created an Augmented Reality filter designed for dogs.

Harrogate-based Extreme produced the “Just Sixth Sense” filter for pet food brand, Harringtons. The animation allows users to share what their pet is thinking to win prizes.

It’s part of a wider campaign to promote the brand’s Just 6 range, in the build up to Halloween. It’s also working with TikTok cat-lover and influencer, Jen Prior, whose cardboard creations - including a cat-sized Jurassic Park - have gone viral.

“Now, more than ever, businesses are seeking to engage with their online audiences. Lockdown has brought about an incredible surge in digital engagement and features like this filter and our work with influencers like Jen, bring an element of fun to these platforms, as well as helping to garner loyalty and engagement long beyond the time it takes to use or interact with the post,” said Donna Herron, Head of Social Media at Extreme.

“It’s the first time we’ve seen an AR filter designed specifically with pets in mind, so we’re thrilled that it’s out there and raising a few smiles in these challenging times.”
