Manchester tech firm appoints Head of Product

Manchester tech platform, Orka has appointed Hayley Gee as its new Head of Product.

It comes following the company’s rebrand from Broadstone, and Gee’s role will be to drive the growth of its salary advance service, Orka Pay, which enables shift workers to withdraw up to half of their wages as soon as they have earned them.

She joins from Moneysupermarket Group, where she held the same position, playing a key role in creating innovation around financial wellbeing using data and insights to better understand consumer spending patterns.

Prior to that she was Product Owner at Booking.com, she’s also been Product Manager at Beauty Bay and Senior Product Manager at the BBC in Manchester.

“Hayley is one of the leading product professionals in the industry. Her experience and creative vision will allow us to build on the high-quality service our customers and partners have come to expect,” said Tom Pickersgill, Founder and CEO of Orka.

“Recent events have only strengthened the need for truly flexible employment solutions and Hayley’s appointment supports our growth strategy as we continue to expand the Orka product suite in the UK and beyond.”

Gee will also have responsibility for enhancing the user experience of the company’s flagship product, Broadstone.
