Adrian Langford, who was previously associate strategy director at McCann Central, has joined Jaywing in the role of director of strategy and planning.

Langford strengthens Jaywing’s senior leadership team and will lead strategy and planning within the retail division of Jaywing, providing services for clients including Asda, Castrol and Studio.

As well as bringing extensive experience from McCann, Langford has also held directorial roles at Boase Massimi Pollitt (now part of adam&eveDDB) and J. Walter Thompson (now Wunderman Thompson). While at McCann Central, Adrian oversaw successful pitches for HSBC Retail and Comic Relief.

Langford said: “I’m delighted to be joining such a well-established agency, especially at such an interesting time.

“What drew me to Jaywing was the palpable ambition and enthusiasm of everybody I’ve spoken to and I’m looking forward to be able to join the team and help make those ambitions a reality.”

Andrew Fryatt, CEO of Jaywing, said: “We are so pleased to be welcoming someone with so much knowledge and experience to our leadership team. With so many years in the field, Adrian is one of the nation’s foremost specialists in strategic planning. We can’t wait to see what that expertise will bring to our retail offering as he steps into his new role.”

In Winter 2020, Jaywing appointed another figure with experience in the McCann network – hiring Nick Hussey, once of McCann Manchester, to the role of Creative Operations Director.
