Aberfield is to promote the Future Engineers exhibition at the National Railway Museum in York.

The agency will support the 2-week event, which aims to inspire young people to explore careers in rail engineering, through a range of family-orientated activities.

“The event will be a fun, interactional and an educational way to raise awareness of the importance of Britain’s rail engineering heritage and the opportunities for a career in engineering,” said Darryl Butcher, head of marketing and communications at the National Railway Museum.

“Aberfield demonstrated a strong understanding of what we want to do and where we want to go with the event. They understand how passionate we are about showing children and their parents how fun and rewarding engineering can be.

Aberfield’s managing director, Phil Reed added:

“Culture, rail and engineering are three key sectors for us, so we’re excited to be working with the National Railway Museum on this project.

“Our aim is to encourage families to come and enjoy the event and find out more about Britain’s engineering heritage. Kids will absolutely love the hands-on activities, and the adults will be wishing they could join in.”
