Prolific North has partnered with the leading firm of auditors and financial advisers, RSM, to present a unique day-long session at ProlificNorthLive dedicated entirely to ambitious start-ups and companies who are seeking to raise over £100,000 to help fund their development and/or future growth.
The session will be called the ProlificNorthLive Venture Funding Pitch Workshop. ProlificNorthLive takes place at Emirates Old Trafford on February 2, supported by Event Partners Smoking Gun PR, mclcreate, A&P and Steamhaus.
During the Workshop, over 20 selected companies throughout the day will be invited to present ‘elevator pitches’ to our Dragons’ Den-style panel of VCs, business angels, advisors, fund managers and entrepreneurs who will then offer their feedback, commercial insight and funding recommendations.

We are delighted that Nicola Horlick, renowned investment fund manager and now fronting a new acclaimed crowd-funding platform, Money & Co, will be one of our panellists and a speaker at the Workshop.

ProlificNorthLive attendees will be able to join any of the workshops and watch pitches throughout the day in our 80-seater theatre space.
The audience on the day will be composed of dozens of financiers and VCs from across the North and beyond, along with successful creative and related industries entrepreneurs who have ‘done it’ and we anticipate several hundred interested folk dropping in for one or more sessions during the day, keen to hear from innovative and ambitious creative industries companies who are seeking to grow rapidly.
We will be announcing and profiling the selected companies in advance of the day and their time slots will be publicised in advance so that attendees can ensure they will not miss their preferred company presentations.
This unique environment in the North will enable a busy day of high quality financial presenting and networking along with an immediate and rare form of commercial due diligence in the shape of the attendees at the sessions who will be able to pose their own commercial and investment queries to the companies following their presentations and the panellists’ views.

Our aim is to identify the companies who will be offered the opportunity to present on the day by mid-January, enabling the selected companies to prepare more fully for what should be an exciting, highly entertaining and ultimately commercially profitable day with significant funds being committed to these ambitious companies.
