Next year’s Sheffield Doc/Fest will be even bigger, with a sixth day added to its run and a new digital summit.

It means that rather than opening mid-week, next year’s events will open on Saturday (7th June) with a Crossover Market covering digital and interactive projects. This will be followed by opening night events.

The Crossover Summit will take place on the Sunday, along with a TEDx talk and Doc/Campus International sessions.

“We’ve outgrown five days. By adding an additional day delegates can get the most out of the programming, particularly interactive at the Crossover Summit and TEDx talk,” explained Heather Croall, Doc/Fest CEO and director.

This year, Doc/Fest celebrated its 20th Anniversary and 2014 will see films shown in venues throughout the city as well as special screenings in the Peak District.

The Awards ceremony will take place on June 12th.
