CreativeRace in Leeds has made a number of appointments, following a merger with babyGRAND.

The new additions include a managing director and creative director for its London office.

Julian Calderara takes up the London managing director position, having founded babyGRAND in 2009. Prior to that he was CEO of Omnicom’s Burkitt DDB. In his new role, he’ll be responsible for overseeing its London operation and driving growth.

Joining him is Steve Chetham, who becomes London creative director. He’s previously been at TBWA and Burkitt DDB.

The agency has also appointed Jennifer McBeath as new business director. McBeath had held the same position at Cheetham Bell Manchester and will work out of its Leeds office. Nick Hoadley has been named strategy director. He joins from Integer Group in Dallas, where he was SVP director of insight and strategy.

“Regrettably the CreativeRace London team has had to change shape considerably over the past two years as we moved away from a specialist CRM offer into a broader integrated offer that complimented the whole agency,” explained Gordon Bethell, chairman of CreativeRace.

“We are delighted to have merged with babyGRAND who bring superior creative ability with leading client service skills to the CreativeRace team who can support them with the resource and integrated skill set of the Leeds team. We are also thrilled to welcome Nick Hoadley and Jennifer McBeath to CreativeRace.”
