MoneySupermarket.com has appointed Clare Francis to the new post of editor-in-chief.
Francis was previously head of content at the financial services price comparison website, which has its head office in Chester.
Before that she had roles on the personal finance desks of The Sunday Times and Independent on Sunday.
Her new role will see her take a more “holistic” view of the business, reflecting the growing importance of content across all departments.
She will now report in to marketing director Kenny Jacobs, who joined the company in December, and split her weeks between Chester and London.
Rachel Wait, formerly of We Know Money and Lovemoney.com, has joined to become her deputy. The company is also recruiting for two more full-time roles, which will take the total number of editorial staff up to 10.
