North Yorkshire County Council has appointed Leeds’ Brass to create a campaign to encourage more visitors and workers in Harrogate to use sustainable transport.
The brief is part of the Harrogate Sustainable Travel Programme and Brass’ role encompasses brand development, a smartphone app and website with a trip planner and real-time guidance. Marketing will be produced for local press and magazines, outdoor, direct mail and digital.
“This work will seek to encourage leisure visitors and local residents to consider greener alternatives for their journeys in Harrogate, whether that is a trip to the Great Yorkshire Show, a business conference or shopping and entertainment in Harrogate,” said Helen Edwards, head of communications at North Yorkshire County Council.
The ÂŁ1.65m 3 year travel programme includes improvements to pedestrian and cycle routes.
